The Court of Appeal, Abuja will on November 16, 2018, deliver judgement to decide the fates of former governors of Taraba and Plateau states, Jolly Nyame and Senator Joshua Dariye.

The duo are currently serving 14 years imprisonment each for fraud.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory presided by Justice Adebukola Banjoko had on June 12, 2018, sentenced former governor Dariye to 14 years’ imprisonment on charges of criminal breach of trust and criminal appropriation of the state’s funds to the tune of over N2 billion.

He was convicted on 15 out the 23 counts preferred against him in July 2007.

In the same vein, Nyame was convicted on a total of 27 out of the 41 counts preferred against him and was convicted and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment with the highest being 14 years for offences bordering on criminal breach of trust, criminal misappropriation and receiving gratification as a public officer.

However, the two former governors in separate appeals, approached the Appeal Court against the decision of the High Court.
