The 24th International Association of Maritime Pilots (IMPA), which holds between April 22 and 27th in Dakar, Senegal is expected to attract 300 participants from around the world.
President of the organising committee of the Congress, Captain Oumar Drame told our reporter that so far, 200 participants have registered as delegates and 22 global firms as exhibitors and sponsors.
According to him, “The delegates are coming mostly from USA, Canada and Europe. We also have participants from Vietnam, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, China, Jamaica, Curaçao, Fidji and Papua New Guinea.
“300 participants are expected to register by April 15th and our preparedness has reached advanced level. About 100 hotel bookings have been made and more is being done on daily basis,” Drame added.
He explained that participants are exhibitors, businessmen, academicians, tourists and culture.
