The comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adamawa State Command, Compt. Tade Adetoye has promised to meet the expected revenue target given the zone.by the Comptroller General Col Hamid Ali.
Adetoye gave the assurance while meeting with men of the command in Yola. He said revenue collection in the North East has been cumbersome but under his watch the service will do everything it can to meet up with the expected target given to the zone by CG Ali.
He pointed out that he has mobilized all officers and men of the command to ensure that all revenues are duly collected and every available source of income are channeled into the service TSA accounts.
Comptroller Adetoye also called on members of the public to avail themselves of the Nigeria Custom Service auction saying that in the Adamawa/ Taraba zone only vehicles will be available for now for the auction.
He said the exercise will soon commence in Yola and interested members of the public should fill the forms online with relevant documents to enable them benefit from the process.
Comptroller Adetoye pointed out that some of the vehicles that will be auctioned were seized from smugglers while others while apprehended from contrabands carriers.
He assured the people of Adamawa/Taraba that the exercise will be done transparently with due process strictly followed.
He also urged interested buyers to provide proper identification of their drivers licenses and a non-refundable fee of one thousand Naira only payable into the Customs Service TSA accounts.
Adetoye also appealed to the people of Adamawa and Taraba not to miss out in the process.
