At least six people were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a Church in Potiskum, Yobe State ,north east Nigeria on Sunday.
Hassan Alhaji Muhammad a Red Cross official whao had visited the blast scene told Reuters,”People were just going to the church when the bomber entered, otherwise the casualty figure would have been higher.”
Though no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, it has the trappings of Boko Haram terrorists who have continued to kill report of successes reported by Nigerian military .No less that 200 were believed to have been killed in Borno state in the last couple of days.
Nigeria’s new President Muhammadu Buhari has however reiterated his assurances that his government will do everything possible to subdue the terrorists.
The resurgence of killings by Boko Haram has led to increasing calls for swifter action by the Buhari government to save the lives of innocent Nigerians.
