Kogi state first lady,Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada has advised women groups in kogi state,to support the government of captain Idris Ichalla Wada,in his zeal to ensure the transformation agenda of the government is taking to the next level.
Hajiya Wada stated this in Ankpa town when the women groups from 13 wards in Ankpa local government area came to welcome her on a visit to the area.
The women numbering over 2000 went home with cartons of maggie for each group,expressed gratitude to the governors wife for her kind gesture and promised to reciprocate her gesture by supporting the peoples Democratic party(PDP),in the forthcoming general elections in 2015. She restated her ressolve to continue to empower youths,children,women and the less-previleged,saying her empowerment program,Kogi Women Empowerment Network(KOWEN),knew no bound in line with the new political lexicon of ensuring the provision of stomach infrastructure.
Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada sensitized women to come out enmase to vote for PDP and protect their votes as well as aspire for elective and appointive positions in line with the declaration of 35% affirmative action.
Mrs Wada said,the present government of captain Idris Wada is gender sensitive and friendly in line with the transformation agenda of his government.
Speaking on behalf of the women groups,chairperson Ankpa local government,Hajiya Jummai,Abdul congratulated the first lady for her deep thoughts and style of empowerment as well untiring efforts at ensuring poverty free society,promising to mobilize more support to the government of captain Idris Wada.
