The Senate, which started screening of ministerial nominees presented by President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday has so far confirmed four nominees.
Those confirmed include Uchechukwu Ogah from Abia State; George Akume from Benue State; Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom State and Emeka Nwajiuba from Imo State.
Newsdiaryonline reports that after taking their bows, the Senate adjourned plenary to resume at 2:30pm.
The Chairman, Senate ad hoc committee on Media and Public Affairs, Sen. Adedayo Adeyeye had announced the suspension of Senate rules to sit beyond 2pm and conduct plenary on Mondays and Fridays until all the nominees were screened.
