Taraba state governorship election Returning Officer, Prof. Muhamed Kyari has cancelled result from Donga local government area of the state but the PDP State Agent, Rebo Usman has kicked the decision.
The result presented by the Donga local government Returning Officer, Mallam Al-Isah Sanusi showed that elections from the local government was marred by violence and snatching of electoral materials in five polling units.
Donga local government area has 165 polling units, the Returning Officer noted that cases of election malpractices occurred in only 5 poling units.
The cancelation of results from Donga lead to argument between the PDP state Agent, Rabo Usman and Prof Kyari the state Returning officer at the Collation Center, Rabo Usman pleaded with the Returning Officer to cancel only the affected 5 polling units instead of canceling the whole local government results.
Kyari finally over ruled that the Donga local government area result stands cancel. Results from the15 local government areas officially released put the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP ahead with 297,552 with APC trailing behind with 234,032 votes.

With the cancellation of Donga local government result, the PDP is still leading with 63,520 votes.
Unconfirmed results from Sardauna local government has it that APC won the council with 28,068 against PDP’s 22,888.
At the time of filing this report, Sadauna local government result was still being awaited and the State Returning Officer adjourn collation of results till 12 noon.
