Dr Shehu Sale, the Medical Director of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital Kware in Sokoto has described the death of former President Shehu Shagari as a great loss to Nigeria.
Shagari died on Dec. 28, at the age of 93 at the National Hospital Abuja and was buried in his hometown in Shagari Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto on Saturday Dec. 29.
Sale disclosed this when he led the hospital management on a condolence visit to Shagari’s family in Sokoto on Tuesday.
He enjoined Nigerians to emulate good habits of the former president and described him as a father to all.
Former Gombe state governor, Sen. Danjuma Goje and Rep. Muntari Dandutse (APC-Funtua/Dandume) were among personalities that visited the
family.
Special prayers were offered for the late President on Monday Dec. 31, 2018, as part of the state government’s mourning programme.
The prayer was attended by Gov. Aminu Tambuwal among other dignitaries. (NAN)
