Sen. Wamakko donates N5m to Gada fire victims

The Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated N5 million to the victims of the recent fire incident at Gada town, headquarters of Gada Local Government of Sokoto State .

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko announced the donation on Thursday when he visited Gada town, where he commiserated with the victims, as well as condoled the families of those who lost their lives sequel to the inferno.

Senator Wamakko who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District said that, N2 million is to assist the shop owners whose shops were gutted by the blaze, to help them to  rebuild  them.

Similarly, N 2 million is for the owners of the burnt houses , to enable them rehabilitate them , while N1 million is for the erection of a temporary Mosque, in place of the existing one that was also razed down as a result of the inferno.

Senator Wamakko further pledged to fully rehabilitate the burnt Mosque as soon as possible.

While commiserating with the victims of the fire incident, he urged them to regard the incident as an inevitable act of the Almighty Allah.

Senator Wamakko further prayed God to repose the souls of the deceased persons and for Him to grant the affected families to bear the irreparable losses .

Responding on behalf of the victims, former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Senator Bello Jibril Gada, commended Senator Wamakko for the invaluable gesture.

Member of House of Representatives representing Gada and Goronyo Federal Constituency,  Alhaji Musa S. Adar,  also laued Senator Wamakko for the unparalleled gesture.

Special prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased was and the prevention of the recurrence of the incident was led by Mallam Abdullahi.

Meanwhile,  Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has visited Kiri town,  Gada Local Government ,where he condoled the family of late Mallam Mansur Ubandawaki who died recently .

He described the deceased as a reliable friend, brother and partner as well as prayed God to repose his soul and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
