The Nigeria Police Force has announced that its men will be conducting in conjunction “with other security agencies will carry out a mock security exercise at the Garki Mall, Abuja on Thursday,” says a news update from its spokesman.
Force Public Relations Officer Ag. CP Emmanuel C. S. Ojukwu said the “exercise is a mock drill, necessitated due to the prevailing security situation”.He enjoined members of the public not to “entertain any fear” .
“This is to inform members of the public that the Nigeria Police Force in conjunction with other security agencies will carry out a mock security exercise at the Garki Mall, Abuja on Thursday 27th November, 2014 from 8.00am to 6.00pm”, the statement said .
“This exercise is a mock drill, necessitated due to the prevailing security situation. Abuja residents/visitors will witness a massive movement of law enforcement assets and personnel to and from different locations of the Capital City and the site of the exercise.
“The public is enjoined not to entertain any fear as the exercise is purely a mock practice, and no harm is intended please” , the Force Spokesman said.
