The death toll from Thursday night’s bomb blast at Nyanya Abuja has risen.On Friday morning, security operatives reportedly confirmed that at least 19 people have died .Also more than 60 people are now known to have also been injured.
Late last night, the police put the death toll at 12.That was also more than the initial figure of 9 released by NEMA and civil defence corps.The joint statement by NEMA and civil defence corps last night said aside from the 9 known to have been immediately killed,11 others were unconscious.
Security operatives are have also cordoned off the scene of Thursday’s blast just as local residents were advised to stay away from the vicinity.
