The Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Umar Nasko has paid an unscheduled visit to the Abuja Electricity distribution company Regional office in Minna to demand 24-hour electricity supply to the state.
Nasko arrived the AEDC office along UK Bello Art Theater, Minna at about 11 am on Friday, and was received by the chief security officer Mr. Sheyi Olamuliyi. While all top management officers were said to be absent on field work.
Nasko pleaded with the staff on ground to convey his appeal to the topmost management to kindly ensure Nigerlites who host the hydro dams get adequate electricity, adding that the “suffering of our people is too much”
He that a said as a gubernatorial candidate, when voted into office he will ensure that a tentative understanding is reached with the company where not less than 20 hours of electricity is supplied to Nigerlites across the state daily.
Mr. Sheyi while responding , decried the attitude of Government and its agencies of the state in refusing to pay their bills which is accumulating and becoming a burden on the company.
The PDP candidate then said as soon as he assumes office if elected, all that will be sorted out as a matter of priority but insisted AEDC should improve on supply to Nigerlites.
