Reports from Kaduna state said unidentified gunmen invaded a remote village near Birnin Gwari and opened fire on Muslims as they were leaving the mosque in the morning today.At least 20 Muslims were killed in the incident in Birnin Gwari Local Government of Kaduna state .Details were not immediately available.
The attack has come as yet another shocking episode to the series of strange killings across the country.Some 25 students of Federal Polytechnic, Mubi Adamawa state were killed by unknown gun men.Even the dreaded Boko Haram has denied the Mubi killings.There was also the obnoxious killing of Aluu 4 in Rivers state.
Media reports said a top police official in the state has confirmed the report of today’s attacks on Muslims in the mosque in Kaduna state today.But many residents of Kaduna were unaware of the report which was broken by online journals.
There were also reports earlier today of yet another explosion in Maiduguri in Borno state but the details were equally not immediately available.
