A village near Chibok came under attack Sunday in Borno State in the embattle north eastern part of Nigeria .At least 10 people were killed in the attack less than 5kilometers from Chibok- where more than 200 schoolgirls had over two months ago been abducted by Boko Haram, Reuters has reported .
Samuel Chibok, one of the survivors of an attack on Kautikiri village, near Chibok told Reuters that about 20 men in a Toyota pick-up truck and motorcycles came into the town.
He said, “Initially I thought they were military but when I came out, they were firing at people. I saw people fleeing and they burned our houses.”
He lost two of his relatives in that attack just as he said others also died in the ambush.
“Smoke was billowing from our town as I left” he added.
The news agency also reported that in yet another attack Friday evening, seven soldiers were killed in the village of Goniri in Yobe state.
