IGP Redeploys Nine AIGs in Fresh Postings:View The List

In continuation of the present Police Management Team efforts aimed at restructuring and repositioning of the Nigeria Police Force for greater efficiency and effective service delivery, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar, NPM, mni has approved the immediate posting and redeployment of ten Senior Police Officers who were recently promoted and decorated at a colourful ceremony that took place at Force FHQ, Abuja.

The only Deputy Inspector-General of Police among the newly promoted Senior Police Officers, DIG Philemon I. Leha is now the DIG in charge of ‘B’ Department – Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.  By virtue of his current rank and posting, DIG P.I. Leha automatically becomes a member of the Police Management Team (PMT) – which serves as a mini “Police Governing Council”.

A press statement by Force Spokesman Frank  Mba said   officers  affected by the postings and deployments are nine (9) other Assistant Inspectors-General of Police whose names and postings are indicated below:

The police statement added that the IGP, in his good will message to the officers, reminded them of their huge and strategic responsibilities as Police commanders in their respective Departments and Commands which among other things include; the supervision of all Police administrative and operational matters within their areas of jurisdiction.  He therefore, urged them to bring their professionalism, skills and experiences to bear in discharging their statutory duties of maintaining law and order.

He further urged them to justify the trust and confidence reposed on them as Nigerians are looking up to them for dynamic, result-oriented and transformational leadership in solving all security related challenges.
