The leadership of Niger Delta Liberation Force(NDLF) has condemned the high rate of Kidnapping and armed robbery in Delta State. The former second in commander to NDLF’s General DOD, described in a statement as “ 2i-c to the founder and commander of NDLF General John Togo”, has also pledged to partner with the Delta police command and the Joint Task Force (JTF) to combat the menace of kidnapping in the state .
A statement on Saturday by Capt. Mark Anthony, Spokesman NDLF said the group’s leadership has directed that its ex-soldiers who are “in possession of the barracks arms and ammunition should return them to the leadership” ,otherwise the group threatened to expose soon those “who are engaged in any act of anti-social activities in the state”
Also ,the NDLF said following the ugly reports of kidnapping it has pledged to partner with relevant security operatives to turn the state into an investment friendly state. “We appealed for the co-operation of the state government, Delta police command and the joint task force (JTF) (to) give support to ex-militants to engage the robbers/kidnappers in the state” the statement said
