Alhaji Lam Adesina ,former Governor of Oyo state has passed on .He died today after battling with diabetes .Nigeria Politics Online reported that that Adesina has been bed-ridden for more than two months at the popular St. Nicholas private hospital in Lagos Island for diabetes.
The report added that he was initially admitted at the UCH, Ibadan but was moved to the Lagos hospital on the orders of the family who thought he needed better medical facilities.
Adesina ruled Oyo state between 199 and 2003. The late 72-year old was an educationist and a federal lawmaker before his election as governor of Oyo state after the nation’s return to civil rule in 1999.
