Governor Nasir El-Rufai and his deputy, Arc. Barnabas Bala on Tuesday danced on major streets in Kaduna to celebrate the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from London.
They started the dancing from the Murtala Muhammed Square around 10:45am. They later moved in convoy to Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House.
Special Assistant to Governor El-Rufai on Political Matters, Malam Uba Sani said the mammoth crowd came to thank God for Buhari’s speedy recovery and safe return home.
In his speech, Malam El-Rufai said President Muhammadu Buhari is a father to all Nigerians and as children, everyone is happy for the safe return of the President.
The Governor also said that the Buhari led administration is committed to the change ideology which will make Nigeria a dream land for all and sundry.
A chieftain of APC in Kaduna state Abdullahi Umar said it is time for celebration for Nigeria because contrary to expectations of some people who wished the president dead, he survived the ailments and has recovered.”We are in joyful mood today because our Baba is back and the nation will move forward now.
“We are also celebrating our Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who is taking Kaduna state to a new level.
“I am in the APC Akida team but today I am out to celebrate God’s Mercy and good governance. in Nigeria and Kaduna state”, he said.
The rally later moved from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House back to Murtala Square.
Business activities were temporary suspended as business owners closed their premises to joined the celebration.
