#TrackNigeria: The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to consider only persons with integrity for appointment into key government positions across the country.

Making the call at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, it’s president, Comrade Ayuba Wabba criticized the Minister of Labor and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, for failing to appropriate the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).

He lamented the minister’s refusal to adhere to president Buharis appointment of Chief Frank Kokori as the chairman of the board of the NSITF since 2017.

Wabba added that Nigerian workers reject the manifest intent of the minister to continue to run the trust fund as a sole administrator as against the provisions of the laws establishing NSITF.

“As representative of workers, we are responsible people and we have a duty to tell Dr. Ngige that his roller coaster ride ceased being funny a long time ago as it betrays a persistent strain of disloyalty, mischief, deceit and contempt not only for President Buhari but also against Nigerian workers and public,” he added.

Wabba reiterated that Chief Kokoris incorruptible and rigid nature was the reason why Dr. Ngige refused to collaborate with him.

Speaking, Kokori said Nigeria as a nation, was going backwards.

“I appeal to all Nigerians to liberate the country from falling as every job is being sold out to the highest bidder, Kokori has no money to buy the job,” he said.
