Secretary to Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, has announced the removal, with immediate effect of Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll.
According to him, the Emir’s dethronement is over alleged disrespect to the office of the governor and other government agencies, which “violates part 3 section A-E of Kano state law, hence the removal.”
Alhaji added that a new Emir would be announced in due course.
