At least 20 people were feared dead as a jeep laden with bomb exploded along junction road,Kaduna.A reporter who has been to the scene of the explosion said “I have never seen anything as bloody as this before.This is a bloody Easter in Kaduna”.One eye witness believes the casualty figure may reach between 30 and 40 because the scene is horrible.
The Honda car was said to have split into two as it exploded.One account said the suicide bomber had attempted to go into one or two of the churches along the road but he was stopped from going in .The suicide bomber reportedly wore a t-shirt while he had army uniform hanging at the back of his vehicle.
The car exploded along the road.Some of the victims are said to include all the okada riders, maishayi and others who usually mill around stadium round about area according to a correspondent.
There had been high security alert following intelligence reports that the Boko Haram sect was planning to unleash mayhem during Easter.In the recent past military formations like 1Mechanized Division had been targets of Boko Haram attack as a bomber drove into the premises in the metropolis .Another bomb exploded as well near the NAF base in Kaduna.
