Former Member House of Representative and Anti-Corruption Crusader ,Dino Melaye who survived an assassination attempt in Abuja last night has vowed not to relent in the struggle to reclaim Nigeria.
Melaye made this declaration on his twitter handle today in response to his sympathizers.Some Of Dino Melaye’s tweets are reproduced below:
“ I thank very seriously all who called,text,prayed and wish me well. God will bless and keep you all,may you not die young. Thank you
“I am more emboldened to take on tougher grounds. We will not relent even at the risk of my life. We shall secure the future of our children
“Fight against corruption can not stop,will not stop
“No slowing down,relaxing,parking or waiting. We shall continue to fire those stealing our common patrimony
“Let them conspire together,their counsel shall not stand. I am an overcomer, I boast in God that I am too defended to become a victim.
“My resolve is total,we will not faint or grow weary,we shall win the fight against corruption.
Melaye’s car according to reports came under attack by gunmen in the central business area of Abuja last night.
Meanwhile , Omololu Omotosho, Founder, Nigerians Saving Nigerians has called on the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar to investigate the incident.NSN said ina statement that the IG Sshould “ immediately order a thorough and independent investigation into the attack on former Nigerian federal lawmaker Dino Melaye and those found culpable in the plot or execution of this attack should face justice as soon as possible according to the law of Nigeria.”
