Niger state Governor, Alh. Abubakar Sani-Bello has attributed part of his successes in life to the training he received in his alma mater, Nigerian Military School, NMS, Zaria, Kaduna State.
The governor made this known when he visited the school on Saturday. He said the knowledge impacted on him and drillings he underwent during his secondary school days made him to be disciplined and has contributed to who he is today.
“It is a great honour for me to visit my alma mater once against after so many years. The knowledge and trainings I received form this school are part of what made me what I am today”.
The Governor who went down memory lane to recall some of his experiences and his good old days in the school said he saw the trainings he received as discipline which saw him through life.
While being conducted round the school by the Commandant of the school, Brigadier General, Muktar Mohammed Bunza, the Governor commended the management for its development strides and called on the students of the school to put in their best in their academic pursuit.
Bello called on ex-Boys and old boys of other institutions in Nigeria to give the schools thier alma mater.
In his address, the school Commandant, Brigadier General Bunza commended Governor Sani Bello for his concern and support for the school, adding that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is the first student of the school to be elected as a Governor and has called on other old students to emulate the Governor.
The Governor was accompanied by government officials, course mates and associates.
