Ambassadors for Peace in Diaspora to attend Eti-Oni Cocoa Festival

A team of Irish trained Registered  Nurses including some Nigerian Ambassadors for Peace in Diaspora will provide free community health screenings on the 29th of November 2017, at the All Saints Primary School, Eti-Oni in Osun State Nigeria. The free screening exercise will  deliver an array of comprehensive health risk assessments.

They include blood pressure screening, Diabetes risk assessments and Glucose screening, Body Mass Index (BMI) among others. This initiative which is supported by the Universal Peace Federation – Nigeria is being hosted by the Eti-Oni Development Group.

One of the  missions of the Eti-Oni Development Group is to improve the health of the peoole of Eti-Oni by developing, evaluating and disseminating new models of health care that leverage the skills of a diverse range of health care providers. The Eti-Oni Development Group works to accomplish this by  engaging community and corporate organizations and policy-makers in a supportive partnership with
patients and caregivers.

The Irish trained nurses are also Nigerian Ambassadors for Peace in Diaspora appointed by the Universal Peace Federation, an international NGO with special consultative status at the United Nations. The health
initiative is part of their commitment to supporting initiatives in local communities in Nigeria
