The All Progressives Congress,APC candidate in Plateau State,Mr Simon Lalong has been declared winner of the gubernatorial election. Prof. Emmanuel Kucha ,the returning officer said Lalong polled a total of 564,913 votes while Senator Gyang Pwajok of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP garnered 520,627 Votes.
In a related development ,Governor Umaru Al Makura of Nasarawa state has retained his seat as APC governor.He floored former Minister of Information ,Mr Labaran Maku who also put up a spirited fight for the coveted seat.
AlMakura and Lalong join Samuel Ortum of Benue State who has also been elected on the platform of the All progressives Congress.
Abu Lolo of APC has reportedly been declared as governor elect in Niger State.Equally ,APC’s Umar Ganduje polled 1,546,434 votes to defeat the PDP and emerge as Kano governor elect.Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state has also been reelected on the platform of APC.He is joined by APC’s Atiku Bagudu who has emerged governor elect of Kebbi state as well.
Also ,PDP candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa , polled 724, 680 votes to beat Great Ogboru of Labour Party (LP) in Delta state. Olorogun O’tega Emerhor of the APC trailed with the third position .While Ogboru polled 130,028 , Emerhor got 67,825 votes.
