Ebola:19 Year- Old ABU Student Becomes Kaduna’s First Suspected Case

The Ebola Virus may have finally hit the northern part of Nigeria .Reports reaching Newsdiaryonline Tuesday evening said a 19-year-old student of Faculty of Law, Congo Campus, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), has been diagonized with the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria.
Mallam Bilyaminu Umar, the Public Relations Officer, Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH),confirmed the development to a reporter .
Speaking by telephone ,he said He said the student was diagonised at ABUTH, Shika, Zaria.
“Yes, there was a case of suspected Ebola patient. He is with the Faculty of Law, ABU, Zaria, and will be placed on isolation,” Umar reportedly said.
He pledged to provide details upon his return to to Zaria since he was away on a trip.The PRO said “I am out of town, but will confirm details on my return from a trip.”
