Embattled Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State has been impeached by the State House of Assembly.The impeachment came a day after the panel set up to investigate him and his deputy, Bala Ngilari submitted its report.
18 out of the 25- member House reportedly endorsed the panel’s report which indicted Nyako.Thus he was impeached and the State’s acting chief judge got a directive to swear in Speaker Umaru Fintiri as the acting governor following the reported resignation of Ngilari earlier.
