There was pandemonium on Saturday as Police vans believed to be coming from Akure in Ondo state crushed an Okada rider at Ilesa, Osun state on Saturday.It was indeed an painful death for the Okada man.
Comrade Olorunfemi Olatunji, Osun state vice chairman of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights,CDHR who is also the SUG President Federal Polytechnic ,Eded who gave Newsdiaryonline details of what happened in a skype sms chat said two police vans believed to be coming from Akure passed through Ilesa on Saturday .And at the Okesa Roundabout area of Ilesa, one of “the police vans in their nomal abnomal driving hit an okada rider while the second van also crushed the okada man and he died instantly”.He could not give the identity of the Okada rider immediately.
It was also revealed that the incident forced the Okada Riders’ Association to stop work for an hour in Ilesa to mourn the dead on Saturday.
