The National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party,Mr Olisa Metuh has resigned.His resignation came a day after Metuh and Bamanga Tukur had dispelled reports that they were under pressure to throw in the towel.
Reports had earlier said President Goodluck Jonathan had asked the NWC members to resign latest by Thursday or they be fired.Tukur said the report was not true.
The party’s much delayed NEC meeting is expected to hold Thursday .And much as many NWC members are expected to go,Tukur has continued to show signs that he wants to hang in inspite of growing pressure.
INEC had expressed displeasure over the improper election of some of NWC members of the party.
