VP Bids Farewell To Saudi Ambassador

Vice President Arc. Mohamamed Namadi Sambo has described the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Khaled O.Y. Abdrubuh as one who has ensured the prosperity of the economic relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

He made this assertion in his residence at Aguda House today when the Ambassador in company of his subordinate Abdul Muhaimin Usman Badi paid a farewell visit to him.  The Vice President having congratulated the Ambassador for a successful tenure urged him to strengthen the foundation he has established for the success of the economic relations between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.  He prayed for the strength and the good health of the Ambassador to continue to execute his duties diligently in his future endeavours.

Earlier the Ambassador had stated that his four and a half years sojourn had come to an end.  He said that though Nigeria and Saudi had over 40 years of good relationship but his tenure had helped to open new windows of investment opportunities and increased business relations with businessmen from both countries exchanging visits.  He noted that with the level of investment potentials of both countries, this is the time to consolidate on a solid partnership between the two countries.  He thanked Mr. President, the vice President and ministers especially those of Foreign Affairs with whom they have good working relations.

Present at the meeting were the Minister of State foreign Affairs, Dr. Nurudden Mohammed, the Deputy chief of staff to the Vice President and other top government functionaries.
