Our hearts go out to the bereaved families of the deceased persons too.
“We are informed that Udi was a third-term member of the Jigawa State House of Assembly where he represented Ringim constituency, and that he and Mallam Mas’ud Ringim were killed in a road accident along Kano-Ringim road on Thursday night. We also understand that Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim Dandoka – a former Commissioner in the State’s Ministry of Education and Information during ex-Governor Saminu Turaki’s regime – died after a brief illness at the Mallam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Gwar was reported to have slumped and died while attending a meeting in Government House, Makurdi. All these losses are indeed irreparable.
“ The Congress feels particularly saddened by the fact that we have had cause to condole four prominent Nigerian families in less than one month because their loved ones were snatched away in their prime by the cold arms of death. We pray that the souls of the deceased persons rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord, and that their surviving relations receive divine grace and fortitude to bear their loss”,the statement said.
