A leading member of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Sam Nkire has implored the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun not resort to washing party’s dirty linen in the public.
Chief Nkire who was once the National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Alliance PPA, said party administration was like any other corporate management effort, which required that its image be considered as important as the product of the corporate entity, if not more.
He further advised the two leaders as well as any other leader of the All Progressives Congress who may in the future wish to take “family matters” to the Press, to perish the idea, as according to him, “this can only make our opponents giggle at our misfortune”.
Chief Nkire opined that party administration was not a task for a select few or sole-administratorship but a team work which involved more public participation than you have in some of the world’s largest puplic-quoted companies.
The APC chieftain added that excluding the opinion of other leaders and members of the party in decision making was bound to inflict internal injury, “which if care is not taken, could develop into a noticeable external sore”.
Chief Nkire said in all his many years of poltical life and party administration, he had come to the singular conclusion that the shortest route achieving cohesion in any political party was “inclusiveness”.
He however reassured Nigerians that there was no cause for alarm in APC, adding the main reason why party administrations are set up in the first, was solely for problem-solving; within and outside the party
