Two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants in Plateau have pledged to promote fairness and unity if given the opportunity to govern the state.The aspirants made pledge on Wednesday while meeting with leadership of the party to declare their intentions to vie for the top job.One of them, Mr Timothy Golu, a former member of the House of Representatives, said he would be fair to all sections of the state.
He expressed his resolve to evolve and implement policies that would have direct bearing on the people irrespective of tribe or religion.Golu further said that he would put democratic governance to work if given the opportunity to govern the state.”I am out to restore true democratic governance in the state, we need this to touch lives meaningfully.”
We shall run a government that will promote justice and the rule of law.”Under my watch, Plateau shall be returned to the path of progress, equity and justice” he saidAnother governorship aspirant, Mr Alfred Dapal, pledged to enthrone unity among the people in the interest of peace and development.”Unity is cardinal to the realisation of meaningful development, we shall enthrone unity,” he said.The aspirant further stated that Plateau people would make more meaningful inputs to governance if they were united (NAN)
