NEMA: Woman , Child Lose Lives After Bauchi Suicide Explosion

NEMA has given an update on victims of the   suicide bomb blast that hit St John’s Catholic Church in Wunti area of Bauchi earlier today.NEMA spokesman, Yushau Shuaib  updated his facebook page this afternoon where he wrote that “NEMA confirms that a woman & a child lost their lives after suicide explosion at a worship centre in Bauchi. 22 injured victims in hospital”

Earlier reports said the suicide bomber was killed by the explosion just as rescue operations commenced immediately with victims being rushed to a hospital in the city.This was confirmed by Shuaib when he said shortly after the blast that “NEMA confirms a suicide bomber killed after the explosion close to a worship centre in Bauchi. Rescuers have cordoned off the area.”
