‘Enough Is Now Enough’: Senator Nenadi Condemns Southern Kaduna Killings

Senator Nenadi UsmanSenator Nenadi Esther Usman has condemned “in the strongest of terms the spate of the wanton killings of over fifty persons in four villages in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.”
In a statement,she described ‘the killings on Monday and Tuesday in Nandu and Fadan Karshi by criminal herdsmen as unfortunate’ and urged total condemnation of this dastardly act by all and sundry, noting that “enough is now enough”.

The Senator also charged security agents stationed in the area to do more in stemming the rampant killings of our innocent and unarmed people who have been victims of several attacks of recent.

Senator Nenadi said the activities of these criminals must be checked immediately. She added that all efforts to find a lasting peace in the area has always been truncated by these senseless killings of the people of Southern Kaduna, particularly the vulnerable women and children in the area.

She therefore, urged for calm from the people of the area and they should continue to avail the military and security agents with valuable information on the movements of suspected persons in their communities so as to forestall such attacks, as she would continue to do everything within her reach including resolutions on the floor of the Senate and with the state Government to continue to push for the achievement of a lasting solution to this crime being perpetrated on our people

It could be recalled that the villages of Kabamu in Fadan Karshi Distrct, Ankpong in Nandu District, all in Numana chiefdom several persons were gruesomely massacred simultaneously .
