Convention: APC Appeal panel releases guidelines

Barely nine days to the National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Screening Appeal sub-committee has began sitting, calling on all aggrieved aspirants to submit petition in respect of the just concluded secrening exercise.
Recall that Governor Bello Masari-led screening committee which concluded its assignment on Tuesday, had said that about 179 aspirants obtained nomination forms to contest various positions in the June 23rd national convention of the party.
But in a statement  by the Secretary of the committee Senator Monsurat Sunmonu on Thursday, the Screening Appeal committee headed by the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, announced that it has started receiving petitions with respect to the screening exercise.
According to the guidelines, aggrieved aspirants are expected to submit petition along side evidence to back up their claims at the Imo state governor’s lodge in Abuja, venue of the exercise not later than 12 noon on Saturday, 16th June 2018.
It was not, however, clear whether governor Bello Masari-led screening committee had disqualified any aspirant as at the time of filling this reports.
