President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled today’s Federal Executive Council meeting. Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina said in a statement, “The meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will not hold today.”
It could be recalled that Buhari returned to Nigeria last Saturday after over 100 days in the United Kingdom where he received medical treatment for his yet to be disclosed ailment.
Adesina ‘s statement also confirmed that “President Muhammadu Buhari, will however, receive the Report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, at 12 noon, in his office.”
The panel headed by Vice President Osinbajo probed the ‘grass cutting contract’ by a company linked to Babachir,while the NIA DG ran into trouble over the Ikoyi billions uncovered by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission,EFCC.
