A suspected band of Boko Haram terrorists unleashed two female suicide bombers on Wednesday in Borno State,PRNigeria has reported.
The report said the suicide bomb blasts were apparently a deceptive plot ahead of the insurgents’ attack on Ladi Kayamla near Maiduguri Wednesday evening. But the Boko Haram terrorists were swiftly routed by the Nigerian troops in the area.
The security news service said the suicide bomb attacks which was apparently diversionary with the intention of slowing down the ongoing assault on Sambisa forest were believed to have been carried out by those escaping from the terrorists locations that have been routed or destroyed.
The Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade confirmed the incident.He also stated that normalcy has been restored as the troops have conducted mop up operations in the area while the offensive on all terrorists’ forest locations continue.
