Gordon-BozimoSALGA Democrats of Bayelsa State has lauded President Goodluck Jonathan on the award of national honour of Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) to the Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Chief Gordon Bozimo.
Vice President of SALGA Democrats and immediate past Commissioner of Finance in Bayelsa State, Mr Stephen Ogola said in a statement that “our group wishes to express profound appreciation to President Goodluck Jonathan for awarding the national honour of Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) to one of our leaders and great sons of Bayelsa, Chief Gordon Bozimo.”
According to Ogola, “We see the national honour as a worthy recognition of the contributions by Chief Bozimo to the socio-political and economic development of Bayelsa State in particular and Nigeria in general. Chief Bozimo has, for over three decades, been investing his time, energy and resources in helping to build an enduring democratic structure in Nigeria.
“This is why Chief Bozimo is today a respected member of the conscience department- Board of Trustees- of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where his advice and contributions, as a founding leader of the Party, have been found to be invaluable.”
Ogola further said that “SALGA Democrats of Bayelsa State, a group that is committed to the development of Bayelsa, congratulates Chief Bozimo on the national honour awarded to him and urges him not to relent in his effort at offering more services to the Fatherland.”
