Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state on Sunday inspected the Kebbi Medical Center, Kalgo and launched a free three-week medical outreach, the 4th in that series.
Over 100 doctors and 150 medical personnel including surgeons, pediatricians, gynecologists, ENT Specialists, pharmacists, ophthalmologists, dentists, Orthopedic surgeons from Kebbi State Medical workers, medical personnel and doctors from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Sokoto, University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan and Pro health International are participating in the programme.
Also participating are student volunteers from Kebbi State School of Nursing, School of Health Technology and Moses Lake Medical team from the United States of America.
Chairman Clinical Committee and Director Medical Services, Ministry of Health, Dr. Aminu Bunza said, “We are expecting more patients this time around due to the JOHESU strikes across the country and increased awareness across the state.”
In inception of the outreach programme, over 50,000 people have benefited across specialties. All expenses for all patients are free.
Bagudu called on all to take the opportunity for consultancies and surgeries.
The outreach is expected to end on the 12th of May, 2018.
