It was high drama today as many youths who claimed they are of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bauchi state, stormed the venue of Governor Darius Ishaku screening to chant solidarity songs ,according to a report by an online newspaper, Kwararafa Reporters. Some of the youths reportedly said they were in attendance to “see the governor who is really hard working for his state.”
Bauchi is an APC state but venue of the screening exercise for North East PDP governorship aspirants.
Governor Ishaku, who arrived the venue shortly after he touched down at the Tafawa Balewa International Airport, was accompanied by a huge entourage from Taraba.
The newspaper spotted Senator Shuaibu Lau, Hon Mark Useni, Ishaika Bawa, Memeber representing Wukari, Hon. Josiah, Special Adviser Political, Alhaji Bawa, Commissioner of health, Dr. Vakkai, Commissioner of Environment, Rebecca Mannaseh, Chairman of ALGON, Stephen Agya and other top level state officials. Women and youth groups were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, a youth who gave his name as Habu said although he is an APC faithful from Bauchi, admires Taraba state as a second home.
He said, “I have been here since morning. When I heard Taraba state was coming with their governor, I told my group we have to be here. Taraba governor Darius is working hard and we admire him. If we can vote in Taraba we shall work for his term”
At the time of filing this report, Governor Ishaku was reportedly leaving for a mega rally in Jalingo following his successful screening.
