Amosun Triumphs , Ajimobi Reelected , El Rufai In Clear Lead

Some of the results from Saturday’s   gubernatorial elections have been  filtering out.In Ogun , the INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Duro Oni has declared the All Progressives Congress,APC candidate as the winner after polling 306,988 votes.He floored  the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate ,Gboyega Nasir Isiaka who garnered 201,400 votes.

It was sweet  historic victory for Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state who has also been reelected.While Ajimobi  of APC  polled 315, 022,  his  rivals former  Rasheed Ladoja  of Accord Party polled  243,321 as well  as Alao Akala  of Labour Party got 167,570  votes .Ajimobi’s victoy is historic  because he is the first  governor to be reelected for a second term in the state.

Reports from Kaduna said  in a matter of time, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory will be declared as  the   state’s  governor elect as results so far collated show he is unassailable lead ahead of incumbent governor Mukthar Yero of PDP.

The results so far declared show that Yero’s men who had plotted to rig  the election in Kaduna as Newsdiar yonline reported Friday failed in their bid.
