AANI Lagos holds Annual General Meeting, elects new EXCO

The Alumni Association of the National Institute, Lagos State Chapter on Sunday, February 4, 2024, held its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), reception for SEC 45 new members as well as its general elections during which new Executive Committee (EXCO) members to run the chapter’s affairs for the next two years emerged.

The hybrid general election was conducted by a team of dedicated members ably led by Mr Victor Banjo mni, under the watchful eyes of the general assembly and the representative of AANI National President, a former President, Engineer Jani Ibrahim, OON mni FNSE FAEng FIoD. Those elected to the nine-member EXCO include: Omolara; Balogun, mni-Chairman; Segun Ajayi-Kadir, mni-Vice Chairman; Olufemi M. Awoyemi -General SecretaryUche R. Unigwe, mni-Assistant General Secretary and Adedeji Awobotu, mni- Treasurer.

Also elected were Folashade Adebayo-Fari, mni- Financial Secretary; Tunde Ajibulu, mni-Publicity Secretary; Olurogba Orimalade, mni-Social and Welfare Secretary and Samuel Agbeluyi, mni-Legal Adviser.

The AGM was attended by AANI elder statesmen such as Prince Adelusi Adeluyi, OFR mni, (Former National President and Federal Minster of Health) General Ike Nwachukwu(rtd) CFR, mni, (Former National Secretary & Former Minister of External Affairs) and Ambassador Olufemi Owoaje, mni (Former Directing Staff).

AANI National Spokesman, Brigadier General SK Usman (rtd) mni, who disclosed this development in a statement said “AANI National Secretariat heartily congratulates the new EXCO members and wishes them all the best. We also commend their efforts of holding such a wonderful and hitch-free AGM and general election. The National President also express confidence in their ability to meet the expectations of both chapter members and the entire AANI community.
