The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has elected a new seven-member management team to lead its Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society for the next two years.
The election took place during an Extraordinary General Meeting on October 10, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the Cooperative’s governance.
The newly elected officials are:
- Alhaji Kabir Abubakar, mni – President
- Mr. Emembolu Eze, mni – Vice President
- Alhaji Abdulmumin B. Simpa, mni – General Secretary
- Mallam ST Bello, mni – Assistant General Secretary
- Dr. Gado Shehu, mni – Treasurer
- Mrs. Ugwu O. Elizabeth, mni – Financial Secretary
- Dr. Mohammed Kaka Jibrin, mni – Public Relations Officer
The AANI Cooperative Society is recognized for its commitment to member welfare and economic empowerment. With the election of this dedicated management team, the Cooperative is poised for a new era of leadership.
In a message of goodwill, AANI President Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, congratulated the new management and urged them to uphold the trust placed in them by the members.
He emphasized the importance of commitment and transparency in guiding the Cooperative’s activities and encouraged members to engage actively by participating and investing in the Cooperative Society.
The election was overseen by Ambassador Innocent Udeh, chairman, and Zalihau Ahmed, mni, secretary, and was commended for its transparency and fairness. The meticulous execution of the voting process ensured that the election reflected the true preferences of the members.
As the Cooperative moves forward under this new leadership, all AANI members are called to remain engaged and supportive, ensuring that the society continues to contribute significantly to their economic and social development.
