IGP Salutes Nigerian Workers,Promises Adequate Security

Police logo 600As Nigerian Workers join their counterparts world-wide to mark this year International Worker’s Day celebrations, the Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Solomon E. Arase said he is rejoicing with the nation’s labour movement on this auspicious occasion.

The Police boss, while sharing in the joyous Workers Day celebration, expressed  his profound gratitude to the nation’s work-force, on its role in the peaceful conduct, of the just concluded general elections. He described Nigerian workers as a dependable ally in the realization of his administration’s desire to provide a “safe Haven” in the country.

A statement by Force Spokesman,Acting CP Emmanuel Ojukwu said in  a statement “The IGP wishes to assure the nation’s work-force, that finest detail is being given to security arrangements nationwide to ensure hitch-free celebrations, as heads of Police formations nationwide have been directed to deploy its large human and material resources for a successful celebration. He therefore admonishes workers to report any security threats in their locality to the Police and other law enforcement agencies promptly.
