The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) has urged Vice President Muhammad Namadi Sambo to take heart and be strong, after the death on Sunday of his younger brother, Capt Yusuf Sambo.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State,Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu said on Monday that Vice President Sambo should not be discouraged by Capt Yusuf’s untimely death but should continue to support President Goodluck Jonathan in providing good leadership to Nigeria and Nigerians.
The condolence message contained in a press statement signed by Governor Aliyu’s Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo said the best tribute Vice President Sambo can pay to the memory of the departed is for him to continue to touch more lives positively.
The forum said although Capt Yusuf’s death was untimely, life was not about how long people lived, but how people impacted positively on the environment around them. The forum emphasized that although the late Capt Yusuf lived a relatively short life, he brought change to his immediate family and the aviation industry where he worked as a pilot for many years.
The statement prayed to God to give Vice President Sambo and members of his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and to grant eternal rest to the soul of the departed.
