The Police in Lagos, has charged a 29-year-old Security man, Ibrahim Muhammed, before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court, over alleged stealing.
The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Dr. Simeon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 20, at the Alaba International Market area of Ojo in Lagos.
He alleged that the defendant, being the security guard, had stolen several items from the residence of Godffrey Ogbuagu, who is the Complainant.
The items listed in the charge sheet include: LG split unit Air conditioner and a Cryster Chandalier light, all valued at N400,000.
The offence contravened the provisions of Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr Ademola Adesanya, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until April 11, for mention. (NAN)
