Two persons — Are Samuel, 46, and Esther Arubo, 42, on Friday appeared before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly damaging the entrance door of a man.
The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a charge of malicious damage.
The prosecutor, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on Jan. 21 at about 4.00 p.m. at Ilusala Compound, Odo Ijana, Ota.
Adaraloye said that the defendants maliciously damaged the entrance door of the complainant, Akeem Akeredolu, by throwing stones at the door during a fight.
He said that the offence contravened Section 451 of the Criminal Law of Ogun, 2006.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge

Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi admitted each of the defendants to N10,000 bail with one surety each in like sum.
Adeyemi ordered that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government.
She adjourned the case until Feb.1 for further hearing. (NAN)
