CAN, Women laud Al-Muhibbah Foundation

The Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) has commended Al-Muhibbah Foundation for its various interventions in the lives of the less privileged members of the society The Apex Christian body described the activities of Al-Muhibbah as one in consonance with the biblical injunction that encourages Christians to continually seek to better the lots of people around them. Assistant General Secretary, FCT CAN, Stan Maduagu, said this to journalists at the foundation’s presentation of take-off grants to HIV/AIDS victims and other vulnerable women in the society at the Gwarimpa Secondary School in Life Camp.
Al-Muhibbah foundation had at the weekend delivered undisclosed cash support to 100 women from various organisations from the six area councils of the FCT with a view to aiding them improve the quality of life of their respective family members. Maduagu said the prayers of the Christians in the territory for the Founder of Al-Muhibbah will not be in vain as her activities has continually reached all people of the territory irrespective of their religious leanings. According to Maduagu, The prayers of the Christian towards this woman will not know bound. She has done great things a very decent Christian or Muslims should do as exemplified in the Mathew 25: 35 and 36 where Christ talked about the import of care for fellow humans especially those in needs. ” I was naked you clothed me, I was hungry, you fed me, I was homeless you sheltered me, they asked when did we do such thing to you oh Lord and he said since you did it to this little children of mine you have done it to me.” This is exactly what her Excellency, Wife of the Minister of the FCT, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Mohammed is doing in the lives of these poor rural people who are without shelter, food or clothing.
Maduagu said the foundation’s chairperson and founder has a humane heart proven in the various assignments the foundation has been engaged in to deliver supports to people who hitherto are in despair. ‘She is cleaning so many tears on so many faces you could see the hearts full of joy amongst the old and young women. Do you think that that particular prayers of these people will go like that? Do you think that God in his infinite goodness and mercies deny her heaven? They are already heaven bound by the mercies of good no matter what it looks like. Look at what happened at the graveside, she singlehandedly tidied the cemetery of the Muslims and proceeded with the same gesture for the Christian’s do you think that the deads are not there rejoicing that they have a cleaner place? That is why I pray that God will fight her unseen battles and that of her team in this good work for humanity’. Maduagu added that the action of the foundation is predicated on the importance of a united Nigeria and must be embraced by all.
He noted that the gift of cash and food items distributed to the various women groups from the six area council of the territory clearly demonstrates the determination of thru foundation to make a positive impact on the life of the women who are the backbone of their respective families.
Cecilia Marcus, a blind beneficiary who said she is trying her skill in music commended the Al-Muhibbah foundation for the gesture describing it as timely and useful to aid the beneficiaries meet their needs and support their respective petty trades. Programme Director for Al-Muhibbah Foundation, Hajiya Ladi Ibrahim said the expanded operation of the foundation accommodates assistance to vulnerable women and orphans to be key economic players at the micro levels in their respective families and community with positive impact on the economy of the territory. In her words: “Our expanded aims and objective is to assist women and youth to achieve their full capacity and become self reliant so that they will not be totally incapacitated. You will agree with me that women are now contributors to the family, community and national economy. “It is no longer as it was sin the past where women have the role of sit at home and wait for the man to bring the bread, now you have to contribute to the economy of the family because of the economic challenge that we are faced with. “that is why the Al-Muhibbah foundation has taken it soon itself to assist these women with cash, no matter how little and other items to impr8ve on their life, a figure of 5, 000 goes a long wanton a rural woman who is into petty trading. “Our aim is to support encourage, assist and these women so that at the end of the day, the woman will be able to support the family in this very difficult economic situation we are all faced with and build the home to become a stronger front for societal growth and development,” Ladi stated. She emphasized that the beneficiaries were windows, orphans, women living with HIV/AIDS, physically challenged persons whom due to stigmatization suffer lack of means of livelihood.
