Nasarawa State Governor Al-Makura Undergoes Hip Replacement Surgery

Nasarawa State Governor , Umaru Tanko Al Makura recently travelled overseas on medical grounds. Newsdiaryonline.com learnt  that the governor went for hip replacement surgery in an undisclosed country.

When contacted, a senior aide  to the governor confirmed to Newsdiaryonline.com  that indeed  he  went for hip replacement surgery. He added that “it is a problem the governor has been battling with for  about  ten years now.”

Al Makura’s aide who confirmed the surgery however claimed that  his medical trip was successful as the  governor’s hip has been replaced and he  is back in the country now  .He  added that the governor is just trying to recuperate  but  he has returned for about a week  after the surgery .

This revelation  about AlMakura’s medical trip comes in amidst a growing list of governors suffering varying kinds of woes of late.Taraba State  is still on admission in a German Hospital after a plane crash.Kaduna State Governor Patrick Yakowa died in a helicopter crash.Governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River)and Sullivan Chime(Enugu State) have been on  medical trips abroad.Kogi State Governor  Idris Wada had an accident during which his leg was fractured.His ADC died in the crash.The governor is still recuperating from a  surgery  in Abuja.
